Time tracking for freelancers and small teams

Time that
works for you.

One click starts the timer. TimeCharm builds the report for your client, takes their feedback and remembers what has already been paid.

You do the work. TimeCharm counts every minute. Your client sees an honest report. You get paid — and know exactly what for.

How it works

From the first minute
to payment.

01

Work — the timer is right there

Tasks live on a board. Start a timer and the time adds up, instantly converted into money at your client's rate. Step away from your computer and the Mac app asks whether you're still working, so idle time isn't billed.

02

The report goes out as a link

Your client opens the report through a password-protected link. It contains only finished tasks and every minute of work. If something is off, they leave a comment and you get a new task with their words.

03

Paid means closed

Once the money arrives, mark the tasks as paid. They won't show up in reports again and can't be reopened by accident. The next report starts with a clean slate.

Features

Everything you need.
Nothing you don't.

Works offline

Lost signal on a train or in a café? The timer keeps going, changes are stored on the device and sync to the server as soon as you're back online.

Instant sync

Stop the timer on your laptop and the web version knows within a second.

Idle time doesn't count

In the Mac app: after five minutes of inactivity TimeCharm asks if you're still working. No answer within a minute, and the timer stops at the moment you stepped away.

Reports by link

Your client needs no account: a link and a password, any period, one-click printing.

Client feedback

Not happy with a task? The client says why, and you get a new task with their comment.

Payment tracking

Paid work leaves the reports and is locked from edits. No more “did they already pay for this?”.

Clients, projects, task codes

Separate rates and colors for every client, projects with codes like WEB-12, filters on the board and in reports.

In the browser and on the Mac.

The web version runs on any device. The macOS app has the same board and reports, plus system-wide idle detection. Your data is the same everywhere.

FAQ

The short answers.

Do I need an internet connection to track time?

No. The board and the timer work offline. Changes are saved on the device and sync once you're back online.

Does my client need an account?

No. You create a password-protected link to the report. Your client opens it in a browser, can print the report or send a task back for rework with a comment.

Which tasks are included in a report?

Only finished ones — in the Done column or in the archive. Paid tasks and tasks the client sent back for rework are left out.

Which devices does TimeCharm run on?

Any modern browser and the macOS app. Data syncs between them automatically.
